“The Mumbai Sticker” is a layered script font. I have created this font from the sticker I designed for my Mumbai trip for my friend’s wedding, you can watch a short video of the process and the story behind. https://youtu.be/bO8e9lQ0DNU instructions to use: • for smooth connections of v s, v r, v z, w s, w r, and w z please enable “standard ligatures” in open type features panel • Type a text with the “Regular” version, then copy and paste in back (cmd B) and switch to “Outline” version. Please make sure you give it a different color to make the main font visible. Looks best in Black and white as you can see in the poster image but feel free to play around! I love London for its finest visual branding, especially its Johnston typeface spreading all over the city. It inspired me to create this new font family: Nyata™. Nyata means clearly visible in Indonesian. The typeface is designed to be clean, unique, and legible. It is a great combination for any display requiring high legibility, such as city’s way finder. Long ascenders help some characters more obvious. You will never confuse wether it is an h or an n. Moreover, I tried to create all the letters are distinguishable. It is like people hate nature with a vengeance - I cannot explain it otherwise. I made this font to take my mind off things. It was loosely based on Futura, a font I really like. Understory was completely made by hand. It comes with some cute upper case swashes and a whole bunch of diacritics. The good thing is: no trees were cut down or burned to make this font; in fact, I donated a nice amount of $ to help save the rainforests!
